Great day to do some reef fishing. Left the dock this morning and headed straight out to a nice spot in about 100′ of water. First bait down got us a nice big Mutton Snapper! After about 30 minutes we decided to head to another spot. The Yellowtail bite just wasn’t cooperating the way we liked. Once anchored up at the new spot, we gave it about 20-30 minutes and the bite was on. We got hit our snapper limit in about 2-3 hours so we then decided to go drop some live Ballyhoo on some wrecks. And what do you know, we landed about a 100lb Hammerhead shark on 20lb spinning gear. King Mackerel we’re jumping out of the water but we couldn’t get them to bite. Overall it was a great day of fishing and everyone had a great time!
